Two recent reports by EE-Oz Training Standards, have pinpointed the need for more flexible learning options, in particular e-learning, to ensure that the workforce is skilled in the new technologies which are constantly being introduced into the workplace.

EE-Oz Training Standards is now in a better position to understand the flexibility and benefits of e-learning with the appointment of Naomi Dinnen as an Industry e-learning Advocate for the 2005 Australian Flexible Learning Framework (2005 Framework). Naomi is one of twelve Industry e-learning Advocates selected by the 2005 Framework, from a wide variety of industry backgrounds, to guide and promote the implementation of e-learning within industry and business.

In April EE-Oz Training Standards released its industry skills report which raised the highly technical and continually changing nature of the work environment as a key issue in determining future training options for the industry. In a follow up report, 'New technology, training and public funding: The case for greater flexibility', emphasis was placed on how the training options available to employers and industry need to fundamentally change.
